Perfect for a low carb diet, this tomato burger has almost no carbs

Many people avoid fast food because they want to eat healthy.

Sure, hamburgers, fries, and the like are delicious, but they’re also unhealthy because they’re high in fat, simple carbohydrates, and salt.

Cravings for these foods can happen all the time, and it’s good to have a classic hamburger once in a while.

A classic burger consists of a patty, an extra slice of cheese, tomato, cucumber, diced onion and a sesame bun – these ingredients are high in calories when combined.

A video has gone viral on TikTok that starts here: The bun in the Tomato Burger has been replaced by – as the name suggests – two large slices of tomato. This way you save a lot of carbs and thus calories.

Tomato Burger Ingredients

  • beef tomato
  • cucumber
  • Avodaco dressing, at home or from the tube
  • Beef patties or ready-made burger patties
  • 1 slice of melted cheese
  • Red onion
  • fresh spinach leaves

put up

  1. Fry the first patties. If you’re using fresh beef, you’ll need to season it first and shape it into flat patties. Then we put a slice of cheese on top of the meat, and while it’s browned, it melts on top of the hot pie.
Of course, you can also make a vegetarian version of the tomato burger by replacing the meat and cheese with a vegetarian alternative.

  2. Cut the beefsteak tomatoes into thick slices and pat them dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess juice. A burger needs two slices of tomato.

  3. Spread a generous amount of avocado on a slice of tomato and top with a slice of red onion. Next comes cucumber slices and a few leaves of fresh spinach.

  4. Finally, add a slice of tomato – and the burger is ready.

Tip: Cut up the parchment paper, put a kitchen towel on it, and attach your burger to it so you can eat it better.
